Tylenol Complete Extra Strength provides daytime relief from multiple cold, cough and flu symptoms. Its four-ingredient formula helps relieve aches, pain, fever, chills, sore throat pain, headache, nasal and sinus congestion, dry cough and chest congestion. It also loosens mucus and thins bronchial secretions to make wet coughs more productive.

Medicinal ingredients

Each caplet contains:

• Acetaminophen 500 mg: Pain reliever and fever reducer

• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15 mg: Cough suppressant

• Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg: Nasal and sinus decongestant

• Guaifenesin 100 mg: Expectorant that loosens mucus and phlegm

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take two caplets every six hours as needed. Do not take more than eight caplets in 24 hours. Swallow caplets whole and use only as directed on the package.

Safety warning

Contains acetaminophen. Do not use with other products containing acetaminophen or with other cough, cold, pain or fever medications. Taking more than the recommended dose may cause severe or potentially fatal liver damage. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have liver or kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart or thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, breathing problems, difficulty urinating, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms worsen or last longer than five days, fever lasts longer than three days, or sore throat pain lasts longer than two days. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, contact a Poison Control Centre or obtain immediate medical assistance, even if no symptoms are present.

Non-medicinal ingredients

Candelilla wax, cellulose, corn starch, crospovidone, D&C Yellow No. 10 aluminum lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 aluminum lake, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, povidone, silica, stearic acid, titanium dioxide and zinc stearate.
