Senokot-S provides dual-action overnight relief from occasional constipation. Natural-source senna stimulates bowel activity, while docusate sodium helps soften hard, dry stools so they are easier to pass. The combination generally works within 6–12 hours and is preferably taken at bedtime.

Medicinal ingredients

Each tablet contains:

• Standardized sennosides from natural senna – 8.6 mg: Stimulates bowel activity to help relieve occasional constipation.

• Docusate sodium – 50 mg: Helps water enter the stool, making hard, dry stools softer and easier to pass.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 1–2 tablets at bedtime. Do not exceed eight tablets per day.

Children 6–11 years: Take ½–1 tablet at bedtime. Do not exceed two tablets per day.

Take with a glass of fluid. Use the lowest effective dose and always follow the package directions.

Safety warning

Do not use for longer than seven days unless directed by a healthcare professional. Do not use if you have severe or unexplained abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, appendicitis, an inflamed or blocked bowel, fecal impaction or unexplained rectal bleeding. Reduce the dose or discontinue use if abdominal cramps or diarrhea occur. Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if rectal bleeding occurs, you do not have a bowel movement after use or symptoms continue or worsen. Keep out of reach of children.
