Metamucil 3-in-1 MultiHealth Fibre Capsules provide naturally sourced psyllium fibre in a convenient, sugar-free capsule format. When used as directed, psyllium fibre helps relieve irregularity, supports digestive health, helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels and helps lower mildly to moderately elevated cholesterol when combined with a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol.

Medicinal ingredient

Each capsule contains:

• Psyllium husk (Plantago ovata) – 525 mg: A source of soluble fibre that helps promote regularity and support digestive and cardiovascular health.

Dosage

For fibre supplementation or relief of irregularity, adults and children over 12 years should take five capsules with at least 240 mL of liquid up to three times daily. Swallow one capsule at a time while in an upright position. The laxative effect generally occurs within 12 to 72 hours.

For cholesterol reduction, cardiovascular health and support of healthy blood sugar levels, adults should take five capsules with at least 240 mL of liquid four times daily. For cholesterol-lowering benefits, take with a meal.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Always read and follow the package directions.

Safety warning

Taking this product without enough liquid may cause choking. Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing. Seek immediate medical attention if chest pain, vomiting, difficulty swallowing or difficulty breathing occurs after taking this product.

Do not use if you have abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, unexplained rectal bleeding, difficulty regulating blood sugar or a sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than two weeks. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you take medication that slows intestinal movement. Do not take within two hours of another medication.

Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if constipation continues for more than seven days, symptoms worsen or rectal bleeding occurs. Psyllium may cause temporary gas or bloating and may cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. Keep out of reach of children.
