Mucinex Chest Congestion provides effective relief from wet coughs and chest congestion caused by the common cold. Each bi-layer tablet combines immediate and extended release to help loosen and thin mucus for up to 12 hours, making coughs more productive and helping clear the airways.

Medicinal ingredient

Guaifenesin – 600 mg per tablet: An expectorant that helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take one tablet every 12 hours with a full glass of water. Do not take more than two tablets in 24 hours. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush, chew or break it.

Safety warning

Do not use if you are allergic to guaifenesin or any ingredient in this product. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have a persistent or chronic cough, difficulty breathing, asthma or another chronic lung condition, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop use and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen, last longer than seven days, or occur with a high fever, persistent headache or thick yellow or green phlegm. Keep out of reach of children.

Carbomer homopolymer type B, FD&C Blue No. 1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate.
